SEANF Supports Release of Aung San Suu Kyi |

 The South East Asia National Human Rights Institutions Forum (SEANF) regarded the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as "a partial victory for the long struggle of democracy in Myanmar." The Burmese opposition politician and former General Secretary of the National League for Democracy was released on 13 November 2010.
During the 7th Annual Meeting of the SEANF held in Kuala Lumpur on 15-16 November 2010, the members issued a joint statement that also called for the release of other political prisoners as well as sustaining fair and democratic political processes in the country.
